we had baked mac n cheese and Sienna had shredded chicken with peas, carrotts and corn but she didn't eat much of it. And when I got back from tanning Josh said her meal smelled really bad that's weird 'cuz it didn't smell at all to me.

I haven't read that anywhere. If that were the case then they shouldn't make strawberry flavored baby foods including the gerber puffs and yogurt

Quote:
The BabyCenter Editorial Team
Berries, particularly strawberries, are a fairly common allergen. That's why dietitians and pediatricians recommend introducing whole berries and jams made with berries slowly, and only after your child's first birthday. At that point your baby's digestive system is fairly developed, she's had a few months of experience eating other solid foods, and she's generally less likely to have a serious reaction. If your family has a history of asthma or allergies to food or plants (such as hay fever), you might want to wait even longer.

Signs of food allergy include swelling of the tongue, lips, and face; skin rash; wheezing; abdominal cramping; vomiting; or diarrhea. If your baby has a reaction like this after eating berries, call your pediatrician as soon as possible.

"Strawberries and blueberries also pose a choking hazard, so they should be cut into small pieces until your baby can chew them completely," says Susan Moores, a registered dietitian in St. Paul and a spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association. Berries are slippery and often slide whole down a baby's throat before she's had a chance to chew. A good rule is to cut blueberries in half and other berries into fingertip-sized pieces until your child is at least 2.

Some babies also have trouble digesting the seeds found in berries such as blackberries and raspberries. If you notice any seeds in your child's dirty diaper don't be alarmed. It may look strange, but it just means the seeds passed harmlessly through your baby
im sure shes fine but just wanted you to know i wasnt making it up

checking my list of gathered info I made a while back... Citrus fruits 9-12 months but I don't think strawberries count as that... *reading on* hmmm berries 18-24 months but do strawberries really count as 'berries'? we don't have any food allergies so I'm going to assume if she was going to be allergic to strawberries she would have had a reaction to the puffs or yogurt bites or even the real strawberries by now

strawberries DO count as berries and some even say 2 years as your list says, Serenity had real strawberries for the first time at her birthday party, however i did give her orange juice, pineapple juice, and chunks of pineapple before she was one but only in small amounts...i know when my ped. told me i wasnt even aware about the strawberries, and she wasnt aware they made baby food with strawberries in it and then i stopped buying the strawberry puffs
